6 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (7 June - Review)

2. Poorly-Judged Backstage Segment

Brock Anderson
AEW

In the back deep in the show, it was revealed that Christian Cage and Luchasaurus had attacked Brock Anderson in retaliation for Arn Anderson equalising the odds at Double Or Nothing. This was a funny, twisted heel motive - Luchasaurus had attempted to cheat first - but the execution of the angle was poor.

It didn't help that Preston Vance had only just stopped pissing blood out of his temple, but when the camera cut to Brock lying in agony, it looked like he'd gigged himself with a ketchup packet. Nobody should blade for an unseen backstage attack, but this looked so fake. Suspension of disbelief was impossible.

Couldn't they have wrapped a chair around his neck to make it look like Christian had laid him out with a Con-chair-to?
