6 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (November 15 - Results & Review)

Ups...

6. Good Albeit Pointless Fun

Samoa Joe Jon Cruz
AEW

So the Gunns squash was a Down primarily because it was pointless and a tad insulting. The Samoa Joe squash gets an Up because it was class and very funny.

A good enhancement talent - clue is in the name - doesn't just get defeated in short order. They enhance their opponent and their character. Jon Cruz - the unmasked Serpentico, according to vicious and unfounded rumours - understood the assignment. He kept trying to kick Joe at the start of the match, who blocked the attempts again and again with a quality "Mate what the hell are you doing?" expression.

In a brilliant moment, when Joe noped him, Cruz - in mid-air! - remonstrated with Joe for leaving him hanging.

This was entirely pointless - Samoa Joe has been established as a threat for a good two decades - but some fabulous, economic fun.
