6 Ups & 3 Downs From NXT TakeOver In Your House 2021
1. Hard Work Saves The Day
This was the most throwaway TakeOver main event for a while.
There's no getting away from that fact. WWE didn't have one suitable opponent in mind for Karrion Kross, so they chucked everyone worthwhile from the upper card into the one pot, turned the hob on and hoped they'd bring things to a boil. The good news? They were talented enough to pull it off.
Everybody got some time to shine. Johnny Gargano did 'Johnny TakeOver' things, Pete Dunne got his finger-breaking cruelty out the way, and the old Undisputed Era duo of Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly briefly worked together. The enemy of my enemy (Kross) is my friend, and all that.
Will this go down in history as one of the best NXT headliners ever? Hardly, but it was well-paced, enjoyable enough, and all concerned did a nice job of trying to build doubt that Karrion might not escape with his title reign intact.
Hard work from top workers saved this one.
