6 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE Hell In A Cell 2022

Ups…

6. Cedric FINALLY Grows A Brain

Cedric Alexander Bobby Lashley
WWE

For the past several months, we’ve seen Cedric Alexander trying to get back into MVP’s good graces, to no avail. He’s basically humiliated himself beyond redemption.

Before their match against Bobby Lashley, Omos & MVP were visited by Alexander, who tried talking up the idea of joining in the match and helping the duo. MVP took the opportunity to forcefully remind Cedric that the Hurt Business was dead and buried, and he’d never be an associate of MVP’s again.

During the match, Omos and Lashley were tangled up when Alexander leapt off the top toward the two, but really seemed to be leaping at Omos – there was no way he could have hit Bobby. Omos turned and dispatched with Alexander, and turned around into a spear, which led to the downfall of the team.

While it was confusing for a while, a backstage segment confirmed that Cedric was trying to distract Omos so they “got what was coming to them.” He insisted he didn’t do it to help Lashley, and said he needed to learn to stand on his own two feet, rather than trying to align with others.

Lashley accepted the character growth and simply told him to not interfere in his matches anymore. Thank you for finally having Alexander show an ounce of growth.
