6 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE Raw (28 April - Results & Review)

Ups…

6. The Redeemer Returns

While Rusev wrestled in AEW, he developed an incredible Redeemer character that reinvigorated him as a personality.

Returning to WWE last week, the former Miro flattened Alpha Academy on the Raw after WrestleMania. Monday, Rusev delivered a pre-recorded promo where he basically laid out a similar character to his AEW Redeemer, even using that word to describe how he rebounded from falling into the abyss after leaving WWE.

Rusev said he found himself, and he now was free to crush people because he wants to, using his “hands and jacked body” to hurt people who waste their talents – like he once did. The Bulgarian Brute warned the locker room that their “lack of suffering” ends now, an ominous statement.

And Rusev’s first target: Otis, a former Money in the Bank winner and tag champion who has been toiling as part of a comedy tag team for a long while now. The big Dozer is a perfect first target for Rusev as he makes his way through the locker room to batter those in need of fixing. It will be interesting to see how things progress from this point.
