6 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (June 23)

2. The Usos Add Context

Make no mistake about one thing: The Usos were in a tougher spot than some might imagine on Friday. Cutting a 15-minute babyface promo in-ring is never easy, especially when you've been heels for a long time and have a ton of story to plough through before reaching the go home line.

Still, it was a fantastic idea to kick SmackDown off with Jimmy and Jey. They received a huge pop, which had to feel good, and they did a fine job of powering through the biggest bullet points. In short, both said they "still love" Roman Reigns, but have had enough of his ego trip and "that snake" Paul Heyman for driving a wedge.

Last week and Friday confirmed The Usos' status as the blue brand's biggest babyface stars going forwards. It's excellent to see their fine run of form continue, and to hear them crow about being a superior tag-team to the less-experienced Roman and Solo Sikoa tandem.

Good promo, lads.
