Few believe that Shotzi has any chance of beating Ronda Rousey on Saturday, and rightly so. She's a 'B' level title challenge for Ronda, which means everyone was right up against it when plotting out this story heading into the pay-per-view. Now for some good news...

...it turned a corner this week.

Here, Shayna Baszler and Rousey showed off their menace by busting up Raquel Rodriguez' arm and causing Shotzi to blow a gasket. Seeing her friend writhe around in agony and then being stretched out herself by the heels gives Shotzi something to fight for other than the SmackDown Women's Title at Survivor Series.

That, dear readers, is welcome. Now, if nothing else, Shotzi can go hell-for-leather and just get violent against Ronda. She'll use the SmackDown humiliation and Raquel's pain as motivation, which is an easy story for the announcers to tell.
