6 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Sept 1)

2. The Laziest Choice Of Challenger

Charlotte Flair Shotzi

Charlotte Flair sticking her nose into Shotzi vs. Bayley didn't really make much sense, and it kinda clashes with everything the 'Queen' has been about during this latest run. Now, it's clear WWE will go with Flair vs. IYO SKY as the latter's next hurdle.

Hmm.

Someone fresh was needed in this division following IYO's title success, but creative is leaning on the laziest challenger they could think of. Fingers crossed this isn't going where everyone thinks it's going. In other words, let's hope SKY isn't a short-term champ just so Charlotte can dominate once again.

This writer actually likes Flair's work, but she's painful as a babyface. That's something this company needs to quit trying on, because it never clicks with the audience and leads to some embarrassing 'love me, love me, love me' promos from somebody who's tailor-made to be heel.
