6 Ups & 4 Downs For AEW Collision (Feb 10 - Results & Review)

5. Daniel Garcia's Momentum Continues

AEW Collision Shane Taylor Daniel Garcia

Having finally dumped the buffoonish JAS schtick way behind him, the momentum of the refocused Daniel Garcia once again continued on AEW Collision, scoring a win over Shane Taylor.

As he's done in recent appearances, Taylor again impressed, with his slaps, sheer physicality, and agility always good to witness. But while the Shane Taylor Enterprises boss spent chunks of this bout on top, the story was clearly Garcia.

If Red Death wasn't showcasing his fantastic technical prowess - in particular targeting the legs of Taylor - he was showing gritted determination to keep fighting back against the power and brutality that Shane Taylor brings to the table. This was Garcia again overcoming supposed odds, establishing himself as a serious player and keeping himself in the conversation for a shot at Christian Cage's TNT Title.

Also, a shoutout to Garcia's great fakeout punch, which then saw him hit Taylor with a low dropkick. Da iawn!

Where the finish is concerned, the knee bar was enough for Danny to get the submission win and move on to something next Wednesday. More on that later.
