6 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite (1 Dec)

2. Cole Vs. Cassidy Should Be Cool, But...

... this segment was awkward too.

Adam Cole came out to do commentary, running through his whole ring entrance like the best kind of narcissist. Orange Cassidy came out. before this could happen. While OC was running through his taunts, The Young Bucks snuck out of the tunnel, allowing Cole's low blow, before mocking Cassidy with soft superkicks then blasting him with the real deal.

Again, this was disruptive to the show's overall flow, and that Chuck Taylor and Wheeler YUTA took so long to rush to Cassidy's aid harmed the segment as well. You'd think they'd be paying more attention to what their ally was doing with a couple of guys they've spent the past few weeks feuding with.

Cole vs. Cassidy will be a fun singles match eventually but this segment failed to pull enough heat to warrant the disruption. This is an experiment AEW would do well not to repeat.
