6 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday (Results & Review)

1. Not ANOTHER One

AEW ran another Adam Cole skit, and at this point, some people would rather brave watching the video from the Ring than bear another post-produced pre-tape.

Against a backdrop of slow-motion physical comedy and a soundtrack, Roderick Strong made Adam Cole mow his lawn. What's the joke there? Seriously, what was the punchline? An attempt was made to tell one gag: Matt Taven carries around a toy giraffe because it is a mascot for good neck health. That joke was abysmal, the sort of prop comedy that Vince McMahon would guffaw at, but it was at least an attempt at the form of comedy.

What was the punchline in Adam Cole mowing Roderick Strong's lawn?

This barely qualified as a comedy skit, and if you even attempt to situate it in a pro wrestling context, it falls apart there too. Adam Cole is a dumb and thus terrible babyface. The Kingdom are right there, and yet he does chores on a broken ankle regardless. What?

AEW medical cleared Strong for the Grand Slam Eliminator tournament, Strong has pretended to sell his neck as a gag for months, and Cole is still humouring this?

This is dumb, Cole is dumb, and it all needs to be abandoned immediately.
