6 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Oct 27)

In which the trope of wrestling weddings always going wrong is continued.

The first episode of a weekly wrestling show coming out of a pay-per-view needs to be excellent in order to keep the audience engaged. It doesn't necessarily have to tick every single box possible, but it does need to, at the very least, contain one or two major positives to get the fans talking.

That said, the first Impact Wrestling post-Bound For Glory did just that.

Rosemary and John E. Bravo's wedding was the major story coming into this week, primarily because it was the only thing announced in advance (Tommy Dreamer vs. Brian Myers was added hours before the show began). The various segments leading up to the wedding of the century had been subpar, at best, but the actual wedding proved to be a hit, kicking off a whole new story in the process.

Elsewhere on the episode, Eric Young immediately cashed in his World Championship rematch clause against Rich Swann, XXXL got back to winning ways against The Rascalz, Moose seems to have set his new path going forward after settling his EC3 beef, and Deonna Purrazzo enlisted the services of Barrister RD Evans in her quest to become Knockouts Champion once more.

With just two months left of 2020, Impact seem set to end it on a high. Let's get to it...
