6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Elimination Chamber 2024

3. A Frenzied Finish

The outcome of the women’s Elimination Chamber match was never really in doubt, crystalized the minute Becky Lynch and Rhea Ripley faced off on the stage at the Las Vegas press conference a few weeks ago.

But how we got there Saturday night was entertaining as hell, so that’s a big victory. The women’s chamber match crammed in a ton of action despite running for well over a half-hour. The final flurry from Lynch, Liv Morgan and Bianca Belair (and Raquel Rodriguez before her elimination) was really well done, with each woman landing huge signature spots, countering one another and constantly trying to pin another superstar. It felt like a real struggle to get the upper hand and bounce someone from the match.

The finish saw everyone counter each other, leading to Liv rolling up Bianca, then turning straight into a Manhandle Slam, giving Lynch the victory. Because they had been going at 100 kph up to that point, it was easy to believe that everyone was running on empty, so the rollup registered and Becky’s immediate capitalization felt both cunning and desperate.

No one looked foolish or weak here, and we still got the finish that everyone anticipated. Job well done.
