2. Another Subpar Women’s IC Tournament Match

Triple-threat matches can be a risky prospect, especially in WWE.

Ideally, they are all action and involve some unique spots you can’t see in a singles match. At worst, they are clunky, spotty and consist mainly of one wrestler being thrown to the outside so the remaining two can tangle for a bit before another person gets tossed.

Monday’s triple-threat in the Women’s Intercontinental Championship tournament was a spotty, heatless performance that felt like the dictionary definition of “wrestling happening in front of you.” There were a couple of decent spots, and the ending got a decent reaction from the fans, but the match was mainly a series of moves, one after another, with Raquel Rodriguez getting a few power spots before Zoey Stark sniped her and put Kayden Carter away with an extremely sloppy Z-360.

This was yet another skippable, forgettable match that makes any notion of calling this the women’s “workhorse” title a joke. It really is a shame.
