5. New Day Indeed Rocks

It’s doubtful anyone would call New Day an underrated act. After all, a group that has amassed 12 tag title reigns across Raw, SmackDown and NXT can hardly be considered lacking in recognition.

But it’s easy to forget how entertaining and valuable Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston can be to the product, until they suddenly pop back up on your television after several months away. They are fun, energetic, versatile and just solid in every way. Kofi’s injured ankle kept him out of action for five months, and Woods disappeared from TV a couple of months later, leaving WWE without one of its most storied tag teams in history.

That ended Monday night when the New Day returned and knocked off the Viking Raiders, flashing that trademark tandem offense while clearly enjoying themselves out there. Later, they pointed out that with the Usos seemingly breaking up and other teams facing issues, they were back to inject positivity into the division.

Simple and effective. Having Kofi and Xavier back can never be a bad thing. Happy to see them return.
