6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (Nov 14)

1. Rollins, Balor: Good At Wrestling

Another newsflash: Finn Balor and Seth Rollins are really good professional wrestlers.

The two former WWE world champions put on a great showing to close out Monday Night Raw for the United States Championship, with both men going at it. We got a great little segment with each man countering the other in rapid succession: Rollins went for a stomp, which Balor turned into a Slingblade; Finn attempted a shotgun dropkick and ate a superkick; Rollins went for a frog splash and hit knees and was rolled up.

Later on, a buckle bomb attempt into the barricade (the same spot that ended Finn’s Universal Championship run before it started) was countered into a shotgun dropkick, and a Falcon Arrow was turned into 1916.

Yes, there was a bunch of shenanigans involving Judgment Day and the OC, but the match itself was really good and had some smart callbacks, so we’ll give it a hearty “up.”
