6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (Results & Review - 8 Jan)

4. Give That Man A Slammy

The Judgment Day
WWE

It is possible to simultaneously groan at the silliness being shown on TV and still begrudgingly give it its due.

R-Truth has long been a comedy figure in WWE and can be an acquired taste for some. He’s genuinely funny, but sometimes his segments miss the mark and leave people rolling their eyes.

Monday night, however, he nailed it with a video package talking about how he wanted to join Judgment Day since he was born. The video utilized pictures and videos of the Judgment Day celebrating and hanging out, with Truth doctored into the stills and film, standing alongside Rhea Ripley, Finn Balor and company. He mistook Dominik Mysterio for Tom and Nick Mysterio. He declared the group’s motto to be “Live, laugh, love.”

It was insane. And it was hilarious. Truth’s delusional video was so over-the-top that it was impossible not to laugh at it. Even Damian Priest had an in-character chuckle at it. Fans should enjoy it the same, at least this week’s offering.
