6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (April 30)

1. Roman Reigns’ New Theme Music

The Shield's music has officially been retired (for now) by WWE. Look, giving Roman Reigns a new entrance tune so deep into this character's run is a bit weird, but that wouldn't matter if the new song was an absolute jam that fit his gimmick to a tee.

This didn't.

Roman's brand new music is nowhere near as menacing as his classic theme was, and it actually has hints of Triple H's first jingle when he was a 'Connecticut Blueblood'. That's not a favourable comparison, for the record. Hunter Hearst Helmsley was supposed to be snooty and high society; Roman was born to dominate and intimidate.

Maybe time will be kind to the new entrance and make it more palatable. For now though? Nah, this fan isn't having any of it. WWE should've switched tracks last August instead of waiting almost a full year to give Roman's heel turn fresh audio.
