6 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Dark (Nov 17)

5. Let's Get Indie

Joey Janela
AEW

Marko Stunt suffered a broken leg while competing on GCW's Joey Janela's LA Confidential almost two years to the day of last night's bout with the 'Bad Boy,' making this booking almost poetic.

Stunt came out with his own entrance music. This was his first AEW singles bout since August and it started with much screwing around, but levelled up when Joey caught Marko's dive, spun him around, and suplexed him on the outside. Stunt found an avenue back into it with a spike 'Rana, though he sold an underlying ankle injury after a Dragonrana to the floor. From there, Joey took control, hitting a sitout avalanche Cradle Shock for a fun, decisive win.

A fun little popcorn match, this. Definitely work checking out.
