6 Ups & 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Nov 27)

1. Seth & Cesaro Shine

What happens when you take two of the most talented, athletic, and exciting performers on the roster, put them in the ring together, give them close to 20 minutes, and resist the temptation to pollute their efforts with overbooked nonsense? A fantastic match, of course.

Cesaro vs. Seth Rollins was predictably great. It's an offering that sits proudly among either man's best of 2017, and while clearly a step or two below what they'd likely deliver in a big pay-per-view clash, it was comfortably the best thing on the show.

The only gripe is that we've seen this combination many times over the past few months, but who cares when the action is this good? We got a beautiful Blockbuster/tope combination from Rollins, an incredible near-fall on an inside cradle, and a springboard uppercut countered into a Superkick. These two are excellent at building and escalating drama, and the upcoming Shield vs. Bar Tag Title rematch is going to rule.

WWE's episodic format lend itself to soap opera-style melodrama rather than tremendous matches, but WWE have continually delivered exciting TV bouts all year long. This was among the very best - here's hoping the habit carries over into 2018.
