6 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Bad Blood (Results & Review)

4. Underwhelming Women’s Title Match

Following the Hell in a Cell match was always going to be a tough act, but the Women’s Championship match did itself no favors.

Nia Jax and Bayley clashed Saturday night in a somewhat plodding, sloppy match that barely survived on a couple of cute moments (the referee bump and Tiffany Stratton’s contemplated Money in the Bank cash-in). The match started with Jax dominating with her power before Bayley managed to land some blows to get back into it.

However, the match was littered with messy or contrived spots: Bayley’s neckbreaker in the ropes, Nia’s purported hurricanrana, Jax’s Samoan Drop, and Stratton whiffing on her first briefcase shot.

Jax and Bayley have had much better title matches than Saturday’s effort. This was a disappointment.
