6 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Raw (3 June - Results & Review)

1. Alpha Academy’s Cracks Are Showing

Chad Gable’s continued efforts to break his Alpha Academy students almost succeeded Monday night, with all three members standing up to their master before ultimately yielding to him.

While confronting Sami Zayn on their leader’s behalf, Maxxine Dupri read prepared remarks from Gable that insulted each member, cutting them deep with some unfavorable references to low moments in their careers – Akira Tozawa cosplaying as a ninja, Otis losing his Money in the Bank briefcase, and Maxxine being a knockoff Barbie. Zayn tried to get through to them, but a Gable sneak attack cut that short.

That’s when each Alpha briefly stood up to Gable, until a miscommunication and inadvertent bump into Otis knocked Dupri and Tozawa to the floor, leading to Otis attacking Sami as the gaslighting continued.

It’s clear that the Alphas are teetering on the verge of throwing in the towel, but they’re struggling to break free. They either might finally see the light, or they might have that decision made for them by some new recruits if they fall short in helping Gable win the Intercontinental Championship at Clash at the Castle.

The other great thing about this fracturing is that Zayn is right in the thick of it, with his own Bloodline angle being a nice parallel making him uniquely qualified to steer the Alphas away from Gable.
