6 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Raw (Results & Review - 15 Jan)

4. Didn’t You Just Lose?

Shinsuke Nakamura
WWE

After seeing Cody Rhodes finally vanquish Shinsuke Nakamura last week to end a feud that had passed its sell-by date, the last thing fans needed to see Monday night was a red-light-bathed promo featuring the King of Strong Style.

But there was Nakamura, telling Cody to keep his eyes open, because the story doesn’t end until he says it does. He then turned his attention to the Royal Rumble and how he will feast on the dreams of 29 other men.

Wait, didn’t Shinsuke just lose a feud with Rhodes, and before that a couple of matches against Seth Rollins? Nakamura as a mid-card villain (he did manage to defeat all three members of Alpha Academy between those rivalries) is just fine, but coming back after losing a feud decisively and saying “it’s over when I say it’s over” is peak eye-roll material.
