6 Ups & 6 Downs from WWE Raw (23 June - Results & Review)
4. This Is Fine
Rhea Ripley and Raquel Rodriguez have had a checkered history with singles matches. Their battles in NXT received rave reviews, while the main roster bouts have been a mixed bag.
That hasn’t stopped WWE from giving the rivalry another go, with each woman costing the other in the Queen of the Ring tournament and Rodriguez calling Ripley out Monday, triggering a brawl that ended with Raquel putting Rhea through a table with help from Roxanne Perez.
Raw GM Adam Pearce made a street fight match official for Night of Champions, which could be really good if both women are up for it. The plunder could hide any issues and actually enhance the hatred between the two.
Monday’s brawl also advanced the storyline of Roxanne ingratiating herself into the Judgment Day, which is even more of a necessity now that Liv Morgan is on the shelf for several months. Perez helped Rodriguez thwart Ripley, and Raquel gave her a hug afterward, signaling that she’s tacitly accepted the Prodigy.
That should open the door for Roxanne to be even more prominent and accepted in the group. Even Dominik Mysterio begrudgingly wished her luck in her Queen of the Ring semifinal.
