Downs…

6. Remember That Incredible Heel Turn?

WWE Raw The New Day Kofi Kingston Xavier Woods Adam Pearce

When Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods turned on Big E late last year, it was hands-down one of the biggest moments of the year, a seminal moment that seemed to open the door to an entirely new world for the duo.

Fast-forward a half-year and New Day has been reduced to the briefest of backstage segments, vamping for 30 seconds at a time and bitching about having to wrestle, while palling around with Grayson Waller.

To be fair, the entire Raw tag division is utter s**t, evidenced by GM Adam Pearce making the tag title match next week against another heel team, the Judgment Day. No mention of New Catch Republic or the LWO, but at least Pearce didn’t try to shoehorn the War Raiders into the match.

It’s so disappointing to see something that started so boldly and promising, and now, if New Day misses a couple weeks - and honestly, if you blinked this week, you would have missed them entirely - it’s hardly noticeable.
