6 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (Nov 23)

5. Bliss Suckers Cross In

Despite everything that’s happened in recent weeks, and despite Nikki Cross’ insistence that she was going to beat The Fiend out of Alexa Bliss, Cross still wants to believe that the old Lexi is in there.

And that’s why as predictable as the ending of their match was on Monday night, it still worked. Cross beat on Bliss, stomping her and banging her into the mat several times until Alexa appeared to break down, crying and begging for help.

That’s when Nikki let down her guard and moved in to hug her, and Bliss nailed a Sister Abigail for the win. This was Cross getting halfway there with giving up on Alexa, but now she should be 100% sold that Bliss is unredeemable, setting up a bigger, more complete match between the two.

So while Nikki looked like a sucker, it actually fit the storyline. And providing that Cross learns from this and moves forward, it actually is a decent development.
