6 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Fastlane 2021

5. The End For RETRIBUTION?

Oh please God, let this be the end of the mask-wearing goofs.

After Mustafa Ali cleanly lost his United States Championship match against Riddle, the RETRIBUTION leader started berating his charges once again, despite the group not doing anything wrong (for once). This time, however, they all walked out on him, with Mace and T-Bar hitting High Justice on Ali before leaving.

It’s safe to say that RETRIBUTION has been an utter, dismal and absolute failure of the highest order. Whether it was created as Vince McMahon’s idea of what antifa is, the group had turned several talented wrestlers in to masked goons who couldn’t win a match if they were fighting the Brooklyn Brawler in a 4-on-1 handicapped match.

Hopefully, this marks the end of this clan, and we’ll see Mia Yim competing in the women’s division and Dominik Dijakovic maybe rekindling his friendship/rivalry with Keith Lee (remember him?), among other things.
