6 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Raw (12 June - Review)

3. KO’s Anger/Annoyance Is Our Enjoyment

Kevin Owens is every cynical WWE fan’s avatar. No one wears the frustration at WWE’s in-universe tropes and unwritten rules better than the Prizefighter.

Owens has become increasingly angered by the need for exposition every five minutes rather than just fighting in the wrestling ring that’s provided for them every week, as well as bothered by superstars just randomly showing up backstage or in the ring to talk instead of normal conversations like normal humans.

Monday, KO blew up about Imperium walking up and bantering about attacking Riddle, among other things, and quickly agreed to put the tag titles on the line before storming off to change into different shorts and a T-shirt for the match. Later, Owens acknowledged to Sami Zayn that he was frustrated by the Bloodline saga and everyone approaching them for title shots, including those crazy Europeans speaking not-French and being taller than him… you get the point.

It was glorious in its deranged nature. KO is us, and we’re better off for having him on Raw.
