6 Ups & 8 Downs From AEW Dark (Oct 13)

3. Ricky Starks vs. Fuego Del Sol

Ricky Starks
AEW

Starks feels like a different level of star to everyone else on Dark, and not just because Taz puts him over as one on commentary. There's a different charisma to him. Even in an empty building, he feels ten feet tall, and he was presented as being in a different league to Fuego Del Sol here.

A bullying performance had Starks in complete control for the bulk of it, whether bulling Fuego around the ring, flexing his skill, talking smack, or generally being a d*ck. Sauntering by the announce desk after beating his opponent up on the outside, Starks eventually returned to the ring and won with the Roshambo.

There isn't a universe that exists in which Starks doesn't soon become a massive, massive star in AEW.
