6 Ups And 1 Down From WWE NXT (24 Jun)

6. Grime On Top Of The World, Ma!

Grimes Priest

Letting Cameron Grimes have more mic time, more TV time, and just generally more time to express his character has been a highlight of the last few weeks. He brings much-needed variety to the show, genuinely excels as both a devious and weasly heel, and is, well, pretty funny to be honest.

I'm not sure what constantly getting bantered off my a man half his size is supposed to be doing for Damien Priest (oh nooooo, his riiiiibs!!!) but Grimes is slowly emerging as NXT's most dependable TV heel at present. After attacking Priest in the parking lot - still pro-wrestling's most dangerous location - he beat him in relatively short order for our opening encounter.

There's still a distance to run in this mini-rivalry, but between his ring-time with Balor, and now his relative dominance over Priest, Grimes has been one of the major success stories of NXT's empty arena era. That, and the company currently doesn't have a finisher as well protected as the Cave In.
