6 Ups And 11 Downs From WWE Crown Jewel

10. An Olympic-Sized Dud

There will be some judicious praise of Kurt Angle later, but this item is more about one thing:

Who booked this crap?

Vacationing Raw GM Kurt Angle tricked his way into the World Cup tournament and played up the redemption angle pretty nicely – trying to prove he still had something in the tank, while showing up the man who took his job, Baron Corbin.

So naturally, Angle went out and jobbed in eight minutes to Dolph Ziggler after one Zig-Zag.

Angle’s attempts to prove he still had it were snuffed out in the first round. So why was he even booked for the show? To be a name on the card? To give Ziggler the rub?
