Ups...

6. Tracing The Brief History

It’s crazy to think that it was less than two years ago that the NXT UK brand got its start (of sorts) in the same location as Saturday’s TakeOver, with the UK Championship tournament in January 2017.

But that’s why WWE does video packages better than almost anyone. And the intro package summed things up nicely, tracing the brand from the initial tournament, to the jaw-dropping title match at TakeOver: Chicago, to Mustache Mountain winning the NXT Tag Team Championships, to the NXT UK brand being unveiled.

For someone who has even casually followed WWE, it’s easy to forget or overlook certain details, so it was nice to tie everything together to see how we got to today. The same could be said about the pre-match video packages, which helped summed up feuds like Dave Mastiff versus Eddie Dennis.
