5. An Old-Fashioned Brawl

Speaking of Dave Mastiff and Eddie Dennis…

Dennis and Mastiff had a solid, if unspectacular no-DQ grudge match at TakeOver Saturday night. The power match put their strength on display, using the typical plunder you’d see in a WWE no-DQ match: kendo stick, steel chair, table and steel steps. Still, both men wailed on each other, with Dennis hitting am impressive Razor’s Edge on the larger Mastiff, and Bomber Dave hitting a Regal roll and senton the floor.

The match was brief and exactly what it needed to be as a break between Finn Balor’s surprise match and victory, and the NXT UK Women’s Championship match.
