6 Ups And 3 Downs From WWE Survivor Series WarGames
DOWNS…
3. A Sluggish Middle Part
Let’s set aside the last section of the men’s WarGames match, as it was all drama and a fair amount of action. We’ll dive into that later.
But the earlier parts of the match – particularly the middle section – was extremely dry. It wasn’t bad by any stretch, but it felt less eventful than the women’s WarGames match, more of a necessary evil of everyone pummeling everyone for 20 minutes before Roman Reigns entered the fray.
There were some decent moments, but nothing iconic. There was good amount of punching and kicking and some slams. Kevin Owens breathed life into the match when he entered, but overall, it just felt flat. The crowd seemed to agree, as they were either worn out, or just weren’t that interested in the action until the match officially started.
While the ending was the story, you can’t just overlook 20 minutes of bang average stuff.
