6 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night's NXT (22 Apr)

DOWNS

4. Well, This Is A Mess

Kieth Lee UE
NXT

A lot of people were will to award NXT some points last week because, while the whole Balor / Dream thing didn't feel like it made a whole lot of sense, it was at least a match that people were excited to see. Yes, the former is involved with Imperium and yes, the latter's going after Cole, but whatever, good wrestling is good wrestling.

Merely one week later and that's out the window. Dream and Balor is off, and it's Dream vs Cole. Except it's not because it's just Undisputed Era beating him up (for some reason). Except it's not because Kieth Lee's here (for some reason) so it's a tag team match. Except it's not because Lee's been taken out by Damien Priest (for some reason) so it's a handicap match. Except it's not because Dexter Lumis is here. For some reason.

This was set up as a clash between two of the most charismatic forces on the show in the shape of Balor and Dream but ended with Dexter Lumis taking out Roderick Strong. Being unpredictable is good, but being hard to follow is not.
