6 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Dec 18)
1. Jordan Takes What He Wants
After spending weeks whining and trying to get his powerful storyline father to help him out, Jason Jordan has taken to doing something that makes him even more of a heel in fans’ eyes: he interrupted a planned match between two popular stars and interjected himself into the middle of the fray.
Jordan goaded Seth Rollins into a match with the winner getting Samoa Joe, inserting himself into the conversation by shoving Rollins to the ground. This alternating between trying to get what he wanted out of GM Kurt Angle and just taking it for himself made for a nice character shift – and it’s something he could vacillate between a couple times as the situation dictates.
It helps that Jordan is really good in the ring but keeps coming up short, because that more or less is his gimmick: Jordan’s the newcomer who is on the cusp and wants to be in with the main guys, but he doesn’t quite belong, so he keeps trying to force his way in by any means necessary.
At least all of this is light years better than the smiling babyface trying to make it as Angle’s illegitimate son.
