4. As The Cowboy Saga Turns

The ongoing story of whether Brooks Jensen can get laid has had plenty of twists and turns. There’s been a fair amount of overacting and some lackluster action, but let’s face it: That’s literally every soap opera ever.

Tuesday saw Josh Briggs talk to Kiana James to try to reconnect her with Brooks. He discovered a bouquet of roses on Kiana’s desk and assumed they were from Jensen – only James grabbed the card and buried it in her planner while talking about acquisitions that have come up.

Later, Fallon Henley and Brooks apologized to each other as they made it painfully obvious that there’s something unspoken between them (complete with Fallon making faces when Jensen talked to Kiana on the phone). Briggs brought up the roses and Brooks didn’t acknowledge them, leading Henley to conclude there’s definitely something screwy going on.

Of course this is poorly acted – these are wrestlers, not drama club students. And it’s comical that the women’s tag champs are more focused on their business (Kiana) and bar (Fallon) than their job as wrestlers. But it’s perversely entertaining, and we got the next dopamine hit and trail of breadcrumbs.
