Is anyone else beyond tired of the same, played-out title defense from Roman Reigns? There’s got to be a limit for how much the average fan will put up with when it comes to the repeated paint-by-numbers approach to the Tribal Chief’s interference-laden championship matches.

LA Knight was the latest babyface challenger inserted into the equation that featured Roman’s trademark control in slow-motion, as he hit a move, played to the crowd for 30 seconds, and then repeated five or six times. Reigns ate a bunch of offense and appeared to be in jeopardy, but the Bloodline made sure to get involved again to continue his 1,160-day title run.

This time, it was Jimmy Uso putting Roman’s foot on the ropes after a BFT, which led to Knight attacking Jimmy on the floor, opening the door for Reigns to spear the Megastar through the barricade and then casually roll LA back into the ring and spear him again for the victory.

And everyone points to the ceiling. The end. Give a call when it’s WrestleMania 40 and there’s a chance someone will be able to finish the story.
