6 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (April 27th)

5. Buying Into The Character

He doesn€™t get a lot of screen or promo time these days, but Stardust remains a guilty pleasure when he gets going. Cody Rhodes very clearly has bought 100% into his character and puts all of himself into it. His promos channel Frank Gorshin€™s Riddler from the 1960s Batman television show, and his ring work is vastly different from before he donned the facepaint and bodysuit. It really is a shame that Stardust is treated as little more than jobber fodder most of the time. He could really entertain in his role if given an opportunity to shine. His KOTR promo was great, as was his preening around the ring during the match. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0Vdd7A_ybQ But barring a chance to shine, if WWE is going to just trot him out to lose to R-Truth, then they might as well let him do it as himself. There€™s no need for Cody to paint himself up and get into character.
