6 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Oct 7)

1. Zero Follow-Up

The Fiend Seth Rollins

After Hell in a Cell’s godawful main event Sunday night, fans were speculating how WWE would spin their way out of a cell match that ended in a “referee stoppage” – itself a retcon that came hours after the PPV ended.

The answer: There was nothing. Oh, we got a recap of the match and aftermath (minus the boos, “bulls***” chants and calls for a refund), but there was absolutely zero follow-up to the Universal Championship situation or even Seth Rollins’ condition after he was last seen spitting up blood at the end of HIAC.

That tells us that even WWE has no freaking idea what they’re doing next. They don’t know how to proceed with the storyline, so they just passed on even trying to advance the ball down the field. They punted for at least a week.

And that is the most telling sign that WWE made a huge mistake with its booking at Hell in a Cell.
