Rumors of Lio Rush’s departure from Raw got some credence Monday night when Bobby Lashley was the guest on Miz TV and did the talking for himself.

And it went about as well as could be expected.

Lashley spoke in the 3rd person (which Miz called out) and mocked Miz’s dad before a brawl ensued, triggering a match Bobby won off a Shane McMahon distraction.

But the real story here is Rush’s absence, which was rumored and appears to be true, as there was no mention of him on Raw. And then we saw why he had a hype man in the first place: Lashley isn’t that good on the mic.

Whatever perceived slight Lio committed, it can’t be as bad as defecating in a woman’s bag or half the stuff JBL did during his miserable tenure. But Rush isn’t a third-generation superstar or hoss of a wrestler, so he won’t get the benefit of the doubt
