Let’s hope there’s more to Drew McIntyre’s promo Monday than just a one-time rant.

McIntyre interrupted John Cena to open Raw, agreeing with Vince McMahon that the 16-time world champion is the greatest of all time, but that was exactly why the Scottish Terminator was coming for Cena. Drew has developed a reputation of putting down other superstars, and he wants to add another pelt to his collection.

A McIntyre/Cena match at WrestleMania could be a really interesting prospect, especially if it means Cena is putting over a younger, hungry wrestler who could use a win like that to elevate himself to the next level. If he’s not fighting for a world title at Mania, McIntyre needs a showcase match at the biggest PPV of the year, lest he get stuck in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

So we’ll give a positive here based on potential alone.
