7. Drake Serves As A Reminder

As much as the 24/7 Championship owes its success to R-Truth, Truth should send a thank you card to one of his chief rivals, Drake Maverick.

However, while Maverick has been entertaining in the role pursuing Truth, his presence is a reminder of his charges: AOP. The former Authors of Pain were one of the most dominant tag teams in WWE before becoming a joke (thanks to Maverick). But before they could regain their footing, Akam went down with an injury.

At Super Showdown, AOP returned to action in the 51-man battle royal, but they haven’t been seen on Raw since then. Meanwhile their manager is still parading around.

If Drake is still managing them, then this is ridiculous. If not, it’s still egregious that AOP is not on TV right now, at a time when the tag divisions are super-thin as it already is.
