1. Women Earn Main Event Slot

You can easily be cynical and say that WWE is going full-bore with its marketing strategy with women’s wrestling by giving the Raw Women’s Championship the main event slot at WrestleMania 35.

And really, it’s not hard to be cynical. WWE has rammed the “women’s evolution” down our collective throats for several years now, pushing every women’s first like the company invented feminism, like Stephanie McMahon cornered the market on women in sports being marketable.

But the truth is, these women earned that spot. Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey deserve the main event because they have put on the most entertaining matches and feuds for a while now. Their triple threat is more compelling than almost any other rivalry going right now, save maybe for Kofi Kingston’s journey on SmackDown.

So yeah, the women deserve the bow, and they’ll take it in less than two weeks. Congratulations.
