6 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (May 11th)
5. Bray Draws Fans In
Instead of cryptic promos that seem to lead nowhere for weeks on end, perhaps this is what Bray Wyatt should go for right away. Wyatt delivered a more direct promo on Monday night, talking about people wanting to believe in something and not give in to fear. Bray then used Rybacks story of overcoming a shattered ankle as an example of inspiration that fans draw from, sarcastically exclaiming, My hero! Bray then continued on his recent message of being the New Face of Fear, telling children something your parents dont tell you sometimes the bad guy wins. Just like that, it was clear why Wyatt is targeting Ryback. He views the Big Guys story and persona as a positive source of inspiration and hope for fans, and he wants to snuff that out. Its a simple explanation, but its far better than the lengthy, meandering promos we got for weeks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JP6L_s-3a0U This feud might not be setting the world on fire (far from it), but at least its different than a lot of the others. Its just a shame that it took until the last Raw before Payback to come into focus. It feels like theres more story to tell beforehand. Maybe this is a lesson for the next round of Bray Wyatt promos.
