6 Ups And 7 Downs From WWE No Mercy 2017

6. Division-Killer

This must have been what it was like when Hornswoggle won the Cruiserweight Championship.

When Enzo Amore moved over to 205 Live, the reviews were mixed. He wouldn’t be able to keep up with the more skilled wrestlers, but he would potentially add a little main roster star power and might help up the profile of the division.

Instead, we got a godawful Cruiserweight Championship match Sunday night, with Neville slooooowly dominating Amore, practically wrestling himself as he went along. He had to stall for a half-hour before missing a Phoenix splash, and even then, he only lost when Enzo kicked him low with the ref’s back turned, winning the title.

If ever there was a “throw your beer at the TV moment,” that was it. Unless Enzo is turning full heel, this was about the dumbest thing WWE could do with the division.
