6 Ups And 7 Downs From WWE No Mercy 2017

4. Nia Comes Up Short Again

It’s about time for WWE to crap or get off the pot with Nia Jax.

Nia once again came up short in a Raw Women’s Championship match on Sunday, though it wasn’t for lack of a dominant performance. WWE has been good at making Jax look like a division-beater, but she inevitably slips on a proverbial banana peel and fails to win a big match. In this case, she got powerbombed off the apron by all four women, then came back, only to post herself and be knocked out of the ring when Alexa Bliss picked up the pinfall.

If WWE wants Nia to be a dominant force in the women’s division, then she needs to win the big match, not constantly come up short. Sure, there might be a perfectly legit reason for her to not win the title here (more on that later), but it’s something the company has to be aware of.
