6 Ups And 7 Downs From WWE Raw (June 15)

6. Remember The Tag Team Division?

Once upon a time, WWE looked like they were trying to build up the Raw tag team division, pairing Cedric Alexander & Ricochet as a high-flying duo, while also bringing up Shane Thorne & Brendan Vink for an upset victory.

With champs the Street Profits, the powerful Viking Raiders, former champs Murphy & Seth Rollins, and Zelina Vega’s charges Andrade & Angel Garza, it looked like we were on the verge of having a deep tag division.

But these teams have largely vanished from the ring in recent weeks, at least in terms of competing for the Raw Tag Team Championship. The tag titles haven’t been defended in more than two months, and the only team that has expressed any interest in the gold recently has been engaged in a series of vignettes and cinematic wrestling matches with the champs. It’s a strangely ridiculous scenario right now.

Even with the announcement that the tag titles will be on the line next week, it took Big Show to spark interest in them.
