6 Ups And 7 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Nov 22)

1. Braun And More Brawn

In one of his more unintentionally stupid comments of the evening, Michael Cole described the SmackDown defence team during the show's closing melee as a "sea of blue". Kind of like any sea, then?

The big T-shirt brawl was nothing we haven't seen many times before - and in particular, around this time every year since the brand split - but it did end on something of a high. Braun Strowman legged it to ringside running faster than his blown knees can possibly carry him, after which DXT invaded in their modified jeep and the ring cleared out in the wake of their resident big guy Keith Lee.

This set the stage for a huge showdown between the man mountains, a visual which must have had Vince McMahon changing his kegs in excitement. Of course, it massively missells the talent of Lee - he isn't just a big brute in the mould of Braun - but it nevertheless suggested a scintillating prospect set for this Sunday.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
