6 Ups And 8 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Jan 14)

5. Revival Back To Square One?

Let’s hope this was a one-week detour, but after two Raw Tag Team Championship matches – both of which ended with controversial finishes – The Revival was back to facing off against Lucha House Party on Monday.

We won’t recap the sordid history between the teams, but thankfully there was no 3-on-2 action in this match. And Revival did win, with Dash Wilder pushing Gran Metalik’s foot off the ropes – a callback to Scott Dawson being pinned last week despite having his foot on the ropes.

Dawson said this match was about collecting for Lucha House Party doing nothing to call attention to the injustice last week, but let’s hope that’s all this is, and that Revival actually gets back to pursuing tag gold and actually win it soon. There’s a window here, and hopefully it won’t close on Dash and Dawson.

It also bears noting that this match was split-screened so Dasha Fuentes could “interview” various wrestlers standing around outside Vince McMahon’s office. Because of course it was.
